Portrait projects (sessions) can vary a great deal in their goals and complexity. They are therefore priced individually, after you and I get a sense of what you would like (and what I can do to achieve your goals). As an example, a typical one-hour headshot session costs $200 plus GST. Once you and I have a clear idea of what we expect from one other, the actual cost will be set (before either of us makes a commitment to proceed).
Quotes for portraiture usually include the time involved in preparing and the cost for basic processing of image files, as well as the time taking pictures; if travel is necessary, there would be added expense for that time. In most cases, a successful portrait session will result in at least a dozen satisfactory images, which would be delivered to you as high-res (JPG or PNG or PDF) files, after basic toning, cropping, exposure modification, and other minor adjustments.
If you are seeking a particular creative "look", it would be a very good idea to discuss your ideas beforehand, as "impromptu creativity" can be quite a challenge!
