(giving back to the island that has given so much to me)
If your local community group (orchestra, band, theatre group, etc.) is planning a show or other event, I'd be pleased to consider document your event with photographs. I’ve done so dozens of times, and I have chosen not to charge for my time taking photographs and processing those photos for delivery to the group. It's an opportunity for me to give back to my community, a source of more experience for me, and a great way to get to meet people. I do rehearsals, shows, headshots, and "behind the scenes" coverage. Most of all, I create memories for our community.
Ask and it shall be given to you
Don’t be shy! On rare occasions, I have had to decline an opportunity to take photographs at a local event, but I do try to oblige local event organizers whenever I can, by arranging my schedule to attend concerts or other events to take photographs.
